Portraying Yourself in a Collage
Create a collage to depict who you are, featuring carefully selected pictures, images, graphics, symbols, and words that represent your character traits, personality, interests, passions, treasured memories. An exceptional collage will have met the following criteria:
1. Choose the best program to create your collage, such as Publisher, Word/Works, PowerPoint. Choose a program you feel comfortable working with.
2. Find at least 10 pictures, images, graphics, symbols, and words that represent your character traits, personality, interests, passions, and treasured memories. Try to think outside the box, use your imagination, and let items be symbolic.
3. Thoughtfully and effectively arrange your items in a collage.
4. Include a one-page explanation (typed, double-spaced) of your collage and its contents.
5. Send your collage and explanation to Ms. Barnes by sending it to her in a message as an attachment. Helpful tips: If you are using Works, please save your document as a Rich Text Format or a PDF file (otherwise she can’t open it!). If you are using a program like Paint or Adobe, save your collage as a JPEG or GIF.
6. Total Possible Extra Credit Points: 50
