How to Complete the Kite Runner Web Page
Are you having a hard time creating a web page? You’ve got a couple of options.
The first option is to create a free website using WIX. To get started, visit www.wix.com. I’ve made a couple and let me tell you…it’s a lot of fun!!
The second option is to use PowerPoint. Remember that the overall purpose is to discuss the themes of loyalty and betrayal in Kite Runner. With that in mind, here's an outline of slides that may help:
Slide 1: Title Slide
Slide 2: Introduction Slide that includes a brief overview/outline of what is to come in the rest of the presentation.
Slide 3: Loyalty Definition (exploration of the theme): what it is, why it’s important, any general examples of loyalty (not novel-related), and a brief look at how it impacts the overall novel.
Slide 4: First example of loyalty from the text (be sure to explain what type of loyalty it is)
Slide 5: Second example of loyalty from the text (be sure to use a compound sentence)
Slide 6: Betrayal Definition (exploration of the theme)
Slide 7: First example of betrayal from the text (be sure to explain what type of betrayal it is)
Slide 8: Second example of betrayal from the text (be sure to use a compound sentence)
Slide 9: Explanation of Cultural Context (choose from the list: Taliban, Soviet-Afghan War, kite running, Hazara vs. Pashtun Eid-e-Qorban)
Slide 10: Explanation of how the cultural context adds to the novel.
Slide 11: A Concluding Slide (optional, but always nice!)
