Parts of Speech
Learning about the parts of speech is important for several reasons. It makes your writing sparkle, builds your vocabulary, helps you use strong words, and improves the way you communicate. Use the attachments to learn about each part and how to use it effectively. And, if you want to hear me talk about each of these, you'll find recordings in the Class Connect link on your left.

Root Words, Prefixes, and Suffixes
What's this all about? Words can be broken down into smaller parts; let's call them the Building Blocks of our language.
