What is Character?
Character is standing up for what you believe in,
even though you may be the only one standing.
Character is walking away from a fight, even though you really want to
take a swing and make the other person eat their words.
Character is what's going on when the coach or teacher isn't looking.
Character is saying no, even though you really want to say yes.
Character is realizing that your actions influence other people's lives,
and that every decision you make must not be taken lightly.
Character is befriending someone who may not be that cool, popular,
good-looking, funny, or smart. Who are you to judge someone else?
Character is not giving up or quitting, even though the odds may be
against you and everyone is telling you that you can't succeed.
Character is thinking beyond just the next 5 minutes and
considering the next year, five years, or life.
Character is appreciating what has been given to you,
and not taking things, no matter how big or how small, for granted.
Character is admitting when you've made a mistake,
and trying not to do it again.
Character is what sets you apart from the crowd.
even though you may be the only one standing.
